Black Moon Rising (30.4.22)

Pure and simple running on an enjoyable trail which is carefully marked at junctions so you don’t take a wrong turning. Run through woodland tracks, run on trail over high, open ground with great views over to the horizon. Replenish your drinks bottle at the half way point and run back. Be greeted at the finish with home made cake and a cuppa and chill out by the firepit with your fellow finishers.

No faff, no gimmicks, just a nice evening activity on this event which entails running 14 miles on a linear out and back trail. It’s got undulations, it’s got views, and for 99% of the time the surface is highly runnable (there’s a few stony ruts which need care in Sutton Springs wood).

The race starts at 6pm from Sutton Scarsdale (S445ST). Registration and car parking opens at 5pm.

Whilst the weather cannot be guaranteed, the sunset views are generally ‘stop you in your tracks’ beautiful.

This is a wallet friendly event with low entry cost (event only) or entry and medal options for those who like a memento of their events.

Entries are available through Let’s Do This. Note the entry with medal option closes on 18th April.
